I have this great tendency to be a super goof/fool at work. Well this may be great to make people laugh and have fun, i now need to find the right place and time to be a goof. I cannot expect my possible subordinates to think I'm just a joke waiting to happen. I want to be a responsible and mature man. To be able to lead a crew of workers safely and effectively. I now this MUST happen now and cannot wait or be put off any longer. I will make sure that reign in my childish behavior and become a more easy going man. Maybe I'll start with an update about Geocaching! I started geocaching back in 2007 with the help of my parents. They got their start from one of their friends and so on and so on. I found a few caches my first couple of months and then it started to fade out, like a horrible 80's fad. Until a couple months ago, I haven't gone caching in a really long time. I decided to introduce Geocaching to my friend and he really liked it. HE then bought an app for his phone and found 5 caches the next day. Seeing someone so interested in caching brought back the excitement of finding a cache for myself. I have now reached my 100th found cache. A landmark in my time of geocaching. I felt accomplished and very satified about reaching a number like that.

More to come tomorrow. . . .

Wow, I think i forgot how to use this thing.

It's been sooooo long since I've written in this blog. Seems to be a reoccuring theme that I'm hoping to change. I seem to be in a little dilemma involving work, I do everything that is asked of me and do it to the best of my ability. I even volunteered to be the chairman of the environmental team and safety/facility team. But yet i still get treated like I'm nothing more than dust on the drapes. Do i push myself too far? Do I do too much and expect too much? Should I be worried about this stuff? Questions that I shall come to know very soon.
I might just fade into the backround and let things just be. I might be doing too much and not concentrating on what really matters. What is that you ask, hell if i know, but i need to find out sooner than later. I do not like getting crap when i follow proper procedure for putting leave slips in. If you want 24 hours notice, then change the procedures. Also, don't change my slip in front of me then ten minutes later change it back without my signature or knowing, to its original time.
I really feel that i was taken for a fool and played like a game. I know for one thing, 2010 will be a little different in regards to leave usage. I will keep an eagle eye on everything including my timecard. Copies will be made and documented in a folder at home. I will change my views toward my current job and make sure that i give what i receive. I do not deserve what i have received for these people. But I will make sure that i change my own position on this matter as swiftly as i can. A new job, I think so. I cannot let people this low get under my skin. I'm better than that.

As far as everything else, I'm still in love with my bestfriend. Jaime and I have been dating for about a year and a half now. I can safely say that I still love her very much. We've become soo much closer than i could ever have imagined. We have fun and make each other laugh at every opportunity. Our rental townhome is prety sweet and it's our home. Ok, so it is so awesome. Being able to fall asleep and wake up next to her is incredible. Sweet!

Well, if you can make any sense out of what i just wrote, Yay! Tangents galore! Next post will be a little bit more structured. . . maybe. . .

Ok, So I'm not the best at updating this thing!

It's been a busy year and I'm having loads of fun. I finished my English class and am pretty certain that I did well. Next semester I will embark on the math aspect of my studies. This topic is where I'm lacking and need to get caught up. A few classes and I'll be at the college level.
Since I've been going to the gym, I've lost about 5 pounds. Not much you say, well it has to come off slow at this point. Mainly so it'll stay off for a while. I like the fact that I eat smaller portions and eat a little healthier. I'm still going to eat the things that I love, just not as much. Portion control and a good exercise program, two keys to gettingthe weight off. It doesn't really matter what you eat just how much. At least that's my take on it all.
I'm still head over heels in love with Jaime. I can't tell you how much I love her, I'd have to kill you. No, I'm kidding. I know it sounds corny, but I just couldn't see myself with anyone else. She's what I've been searching, a true love. My true love. I cherish everyday that I'm with her. We compliment each other very well. I can see us remaining together forever. I LOVE YOU JAIME!
Other than that, I'm just plain ol' happy. I can't explain it any better than that. Christmas and New Years are on their way. OOOOOO I can't wait! I also look forward to the spring to go kayaking, camping, and golfing. Maybe a few bike rides. Take a few hikes and just enjoy life with the ones I love. Every now and again, you have to sit back and really appreciate the things that you have. Life is too short to get caught up in a bunch of crap.

And It's Been A While. . .

well, well, well. It's been a long time, for i've had other things to do then sit and write on the computer. I have been so busy but i like it that way. I've fallen deep in love with the love of my life, Jaime Lancaster and have been spending as much time as she'll let me spend with her. We have gone to the renaissance festival twice this year and i absoutely loved it. The first time we went, we saw Albannach, an incredible Celtic pipes and drums band. Very primal might i add. The threat of rain stopped us from getting into costume for it. That's ok because the second time we went, she got into costume. I didn't have mine yet i was able to suprise her with it on another occassion. I can't believe i've found someone with the passion, creativity and the eye for beauty. That's another topic in itself.

My college class is going pretty good. We're on the third paper and i've done farely well on the first two, getting B's on both. One of my personal response essays i recieved an A-. Not bad for being out of the education loop for nearly a decade. Other than that, i removed my parents pool and the deck that surrounded it in about 4 hours total. 2 for tear down and two for transporting the waste the the landfill.

I spent a week away from Jaime because she was in the Grand Cayman Islands, Lucky! I have never missed anyone before like i missed her. I felt a little separation anxiety. But I knew she'd be back in Maryland soon enough, still a little hard though. She got to see the Grand Cayman Mermaid 130 yards and 55 feet down in the water. I could only imagine how awesome that would be in person. She sat on a beach with crystal clear water and also became a certified SCUBA diver. Yeah. . . she can dive. I'm happy she's back and i'm ready to spend much more time with her. I just don't want to feel like I'm smothering her.

Anyway that's about all that's on my mind right now so. . . yeah.

First Day Jitters

First day of class wasn't too bad. I feel that it will be an experience and a pleasure to be in this class. The professor seems to know his stuff. He wants us to not only write about the good, but also the bad. His grades are based upon improving skills that may be lacking. He feels it's not what you write about, it's how you write about it. Keep him interested and to be precise with you points you make. to be continued. . .

Guess Where??

This place was an unexpected treat from my love. An old friend from my high school years. We got reintroduced by her sister around the end of April. A little rocky start but got better and better each time I saw her. Everytime I talk to her, I get to know more and more about her. She's very down to earth and aware of who she is and what she wants. She has a way with words and says the sweetest things. Her touch is so tender and loving. One of her many attractive features is her love and passion for music. Music is important to me and she hears things in music that not many others can't and don't hear. I can get lost in a song and lose myself in a rhythm. I don't think I could function without it.
Her strong will and big heart are by far my favorite features. She's a very beatiful and talented woman. By talented I mean she can play multiple instruments. That's awesome. I find myself getting lost in her glowing eyes and don't want to be found. I enjoy spending time with her and never want to let go from a deep imbrace. There's so much more to tell you but I have to sleep now. A 9'6" kayak to be exact. I decided to go to a local reservoir and try it out. Might I add it was a little weird. I haven't been on the water in almost 15 years. Needless to say, I was able to find my groove with the paddle and got going. I decided not to go out too far because, after all it was my first time in a kayak. So I paddled for about a mile and turned around to go back. All in all it was a fun experience, although i wouldn't mind having a little company but not nessesary. Took some sweet pics from the middle of the first section.

Wow!!!!

So I have not updated in a while and that's because I've been busy. Not just at my regular job but other side jobs as well. So to further update you all. I have met an incredible person. Someone who is caring, generous, thoughtful, and most of all, whole hearted. I almost gave up on the whole shabang. But then from left field comes this completely amazing and wonderful person into my life and showed me that there is still hope for mankind. That, outside my family, there are still genuine people. And as you all know, over the past years have been coming into myself. becoming more and more secure with who i am and who I'm going to be. Yes i do have struggles, but that's what makes us real. If we don't get pushed every now and again, then how do we know that we are alive. I truthfully say that I'm comfortable with who i've become and wouldn't change a thing. I will still go to school this fall, and persue my goals in life but i will be the same person that i grew into. The craziest thing is my life is nowhere near over and i have so many more things to do. Bring it on! I only need 12 points more aand I won't have to take 3 extra classes, just two. Even after 12 years out of school, I'm still proficient in Engrish. Enough to not take step up courses like math. All with moving interior and exterior parts. I was looking for the paint for my new project and sadly i couldn't find a store that sold it. Target and Walmart both do not carry model kits or paint any more. So i thought, maybe Columbia Mall, but again i was troubled by the lost of yet another hobby store. Well, to my suprise, I had found one store left. A little hobby store called Lad's Hobby, this place is still up and running. The employees were very knowledgable and courteous. I had found my diamond in the rough. So i got my supplies and i was on my way. To see this was the only hobby store left in Howard County kind of made me a little mad in a way. What the hell ever happened to pinewood derby cars and building model rockets. I guess not enough time. With all those cool video games and techno toys who has the time to become a little creative. Maybe spend sometime to build a dollhouse or a WWII aircraft. Maybe spend a little money on an "N" scale train set and build a miniature city. I'm a little disappointed in todays youth. Slow down and remember your roots. If it weren't for some of these things, we wouldn't have cool displays like the train garden or replica citys and ports. Goodbye old school and say hello to the new school. Until Now. I am going to the college monday after work to find out what I need for an A.A.S. degree. I'm hoping that i ca do this all at night. I have a full time job and can't afford to quit. I'm thinking maybe biomedical engineer or some sort of computer degree. Something that's going to set me up for a little better future. Wish me luck on monday. I do believe that it is also in ones own hands. If you aren't happy in a situation, then you have the power to change that. If you want self pity then you'll stay. I, however, am scared of this. Getting out and meeting new people is something that I have serious trouble doing. Not that I don't want to but that I haven't done it in so long that I fear I have forgotten how. I have to add that I contradict myself in saying that I want to get out. I feel a certain comfort being at home, a certain safeness. But I believe that is going to change. If it doesn't, I know that I will eventually stay like this and never get out. Maybe a second job or maybe just going out by myself. I will probably try a little of both. I cannot stay like this. Not that i'm unhappy. I'm quite content, but i need to get social again. Maybe find a group of friends or an activity that i like to do. Well at any rate it's time for another change. I can assure you that I'm not on the brink of a meltdown or a downward spiral. Just want to extend my social network.

Back on the Home Turf

Well I'm back in MD and I feel different. Granted some things that happen you have no control over. When do you ever have control in the things you do. To an extent, I believe that people follow a designed path. But the decisions that we make are free will, in a sense. Long story, I'll explain later. But what normally feels right is just that. Sacrificing your own feelings for someone else's is not only wrong but just plain stupid. Especially in cases where the two people don't really have a good relationship. Ican't explain much more other than your personal sanity needs to be maintained over anything else. Never been good at getting my thoughts straight.

Cheers!

I just wanted to say thank you to all the people who have been there with me on this ongoing journey through life. Without you all my existence would mean squat. I cherish everyday that I have such wonderful people in my life and couldn't ask for it any other way. Thank you Mom and Dad for being such great parents and showing me that bad times are short and that good times will come. For being there when I needed you and for being so kind and caring towards each other. Thank you to my best friends parents for also helping in my quest for happiness and direction. Thank you to my sister who has provided me with the will power to make it. You will never understand the things you have done to change my life, and for that I am grateful. To all the other people that come and go leaving a mark in my life, Thanks. The path to self identification is a long and bumpy one, but with the right backing any mountain can be traversed. I still have much to do, see, and learn on this planet. I just can't wait to see what's to come. Here's to the rest of my life. Let there be longevity and serenity. I have felt more emotions in the past four weeks that a combined 4 years. It is emotionally and physically painful. I go from one extreme to another. Its sometimes feels like there will be no end to the pain, but then there is. It has got to be the hardest thing to explain to anyone without an addiction. The peak keeps getting worse but the duration gets shorter. I hope the end nears and all will be well. The addiction is over but the pain remains. So many words and thoughts go through your mind and you can't control a @#$%ing thing. The need to smoke is gone, the want is there in full force. The way I used to enjoy sitting outside and watching the stars. The way I could lose myself in thought and forget about everything. I don't feel i need a cigarette anymore, but to feel normal again would be swell. All day I stress and when I do get sleep it's not all that great. My thoughts have been crazy and I cannot concentrate. I wouldn't be suprised if i have trouble spelling.

Two Rights Don't Make a Left

Why do police officers feel the need to speed all the time. Not the bugs so much but everything else is super.

The Better Half

In the years that i've been doing business online i've had some good experiences and some bad. Your plants are not dying due to cigarette smoke. Maybe you don't water them, or maybe your home is so dusty that they can't absorb the much needed nutrients that lets them live. Before you even dare to blame a smoker for you shitty ass health, you had better rethink starting that polluting car of yours. O.k., so you started your car but what about your much more polluting lawn mower. These two items put TONS more pollution into the atmosphere and you lungs than any one smoker. Even the worst, chain smoker cannot hold a candle to the TONS of pollution put into the air by YOUR automobile. Don't make yourself look like a fool by causing more pollution than the party you'd wish to blame someones death on. DO NOT BLAME SMOKERS FOR YOUR IGNORANCE AND LACK OF FACTUAL INFORMATION. YOU CANNOT FORM REASONABLE OPINIONS FROM BIASED SOURCES. GET ALL THE INFORMATION BEFORE YOU GO BLAMING OTHER PEOPLE FOR YOUR MISTAKES. REMEMBER, THERE'S MORE POLLUTANTS BEING RELEASED BY THE TONS/MINUTE THAN ONE PERSON CAN BREATH IN ONE LIFETIME.
Sorry bout the rant but I couldn't take anymore. I get sick just like everyone else. I don't blame it on my smoking nor anyone elses. I blame it on viral infections and bacteria that floats around. Not my choice of cigarette. Why cough when a smoker walks by for a second when you drive for hourson end. Gridlock and traffic jams near someones home can cause cancer. Electricity can cause cancer. Dust and pet dander in high amounts can cause respiratory infections leading to possible death. Yes smoking is bad but don't be fooled into thinking that it kills more people than your car does. 44.5 million smokers VS. 247 million automobiles. You do the math!

Getting Sick

Last friday the 22nd of February i had gotten very sick, coughing, nausea, and a good fever. Not due to smoking it was going around work. Well I thought that everything would be fine at the end of it. Turns out that a good thing came from the events. I had stopped smoking, mainlybecause i coundn't get up to go smoke. Well here it is a week later and had one lapse. But i'm feeling incredible, like nothing has changed.
I can honestly say that the cigarette that i had today tasted like shit. Still got the dizzy feeling but not as much satisfaction. I can't believethat i haven't relapsed. Not that i'm preparing for it but by now i'd of been feening for a smoke. Well I'll keep posted as days and weeks go by. Realizing what I need to do in order to be happy again. The process has started and I feel great. I have made decisions that have impacted my life and now i can move i the right direction. I was stuck between moving out of my parents place and living hard or going back to school at night. I choose school, for i can better round myself and give myself the opportunities that i deserve. I aslo bought a new truck because my old vehicle just wasn't right anymore. I can do more with my new truck and feel safer doing so. Yes there is a payment but i'll make ends meet. Besides this is 100% mine. No co-signer or help. I feel nice that i can be independant financially. I have been for a while but this tops the cake. So anyways i feel so much better and can't wait for school. Don't know what i'm going to take, but thats just details for now.

Stuck in the Middle withYou!

Today I'm making headway on the battle of my innerself. I have seen and experienced most of the various types of businesses and have come to a conclusion that one sytem definetly stands out. The one i work for has got to be the most watseful, non-communitive, unorganized, and finally inefficient company in the state. I wanted to believe that it could be better, but i was sadly mistaken. I cannot believe that one of the biggest companies in the state has so many problems. I disagree with all their practices and don't believe that they even remotely care about their employees. Further more the employees get a mentality of "it's not my problem", It's always someone elses. I just can't bend to their way of business. This is why i'm starting my own. Not only am i a music fanatic but the information that i look for tends to be information that isn't normally researched, therefore making it harder to find. Well maybe that's the idea. Making someone research the lesser known facts makes it easier on someone else. Once it's (the information) is found then all is able to know about it. That's how google got it's start. Giving people easier access to information, regardless of what it is. At any rate, that could be the key to my existence. Secondly, What the hell am i doing playing halo with a bunch of weirdos. Well i'll tell you. I can't seem to grasp ahold of the concept of being older. I still feel like a kid. There's so many things that i could be doing right now, but i'd rather be sitting at home watching t.v. and drinking PEPSI. I love that stuff. Anyway, I have gotten stuck at the fork in the road and cannot decide which way to go. All i can do is stare at both paths and say to myself " I could go that way, but it looks a little to challanging. But that way i get to live in my parents basement and wallow in the lack of motivation. Well I guess it'll work itself out.
